Obituary

In memory of Marlo Jeanne Larsen

January 10,1946 - April 4, 2020

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Marlo Jeanne Larsen, affectionately known to friends and family as “Jeanne.”

Jeanne slipped away peacefully after unexpected health complications following hip replacement surgery. She was able to come home for just one night and morning before her passing to be with her eternal companion, Keith, as he gently held her face and whispered in her ear his eternal love, devotion and gratitude. Jeanne desperately wanted to be home and now she is home with our loving Father in Heaven. We know she was joyfully greeted by her parents, brother and other loved ones.

She was married to Keith Wayne Larsen for 49 years. They were sealed together eternally in the Los Angeles temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This marriage and the love and devotion they demonstrated to each other is a legacy all of their children will always remember.

She was one of the sweetest and most caring people you could ever meet; she never said an unkind word about anyone. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, always making them her priority. She was an avid reader and gifted treasured books to her grandchildren. She was known for her excellent cooking and was always up for a game of cards or board games. She was a talented seamstress and quilter. Her personalized Christmas stockings will be a cherished tradition. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in several youth and women's organizations. A highlight in her life was serving with Keith as Church Service Missionaries at the Murrieta California Bishops’ Storehouse and as temple workers in the San Diego Temple.

Jeanne will never be forgotten by her posterity: husband—Keith Wayne Larsen; children—Kristyn (Clarence) Hofheins, Kim (Scott) Doman, Kevin (Mariana) Larsen, and Kara (Matt) Taft; grandchildren—Taggert (Alba) Butler, Tabytha Hofheins, Hampton Butler, Brooklyn Taft, Ashlyn Taft, Maddelyn Taft, Mateo Larsen, and Roman Larsen; sister—Sue (Dave) Creason; brother—Dennis (Mary) Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcy and Milo Ferrell and her brother, Randy.

Due to unprecedented times and circumstances the entire family looks forward to a graveside celebration of life when worldwide conditions permit.
The family expresses their profound gratitude for all the messages of love, support and prayer

I will always remember Jeanne as a sweet caring friend. She was my visiting teacher and Keith was our home teacher. they were always bringing a treat or meal to us. I remember fondly the day they came by and took us on an adventure to see the beautiful flowers. They gave us so much support during this last difficult year. I could always count on them.
Jeanne will be missed so much by her family and friends she always had a smile and nice words to say. She was so talented, and had a fun sense of humor. Always so loving and sweet. I feel she left us far too soon. We will miss you Jeanne We love you. Lynn and Ila

My wife Patricia joins me from her abode in Paradise to express our sincere condolences to Keith and family in the passing of Jeanne, our long-time friend and co-worker on countless projects. My Patricia especially worked with Jeanne on the five musical plays she produced in the Glendora California Stake. Jeanne could always be counted on to come through and most all the time go "above and beyond" to make sure every aspect of the project was done right. Jeanne and Keith worked tirelessly to see that our many Sons of Utah Pioneers events were memorable and meaningful. There was never a hesitancy to jump "into the arena" - both
Jeanne & Keith very much understood the sacrifice and major effort required to make our events go well, and they always did,
spectacularly! May God Bless the Memory of Jeanne who we who know her well love and respect and whose memory we will always cherish! And may Keith and family be consoled in Jeanne's passing to Paradise! Most likely My Patricia and Jeanne are now planning for more grand events with other "players" with whom they worked in times past! Paradise is indeed a better place now
that Jeanne has joined the ranks of the elect in that sacred place!
