On Wednesday, September 9th 2020, Kimberly Hartzel, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 58.

Kim was born August 17th, 1962 in southern California to Beulah and Charles Brown. Kim married Chris Hartzel on June 27th 1987, raising their one son Joshua born in July 1988.

Kim loved, and was loved by, her friends and family. She enjoyed baking and making crafts for anyone and everyone. People loved her Carrot Cake and her Big “O” cookies turning them into full day baking adventures to make enough for everyone.

In 2000, Kim became a massage therapist and business owner. Over the next 18 years, her clients grew to become her friends and often received baked treats throughout the year too.

For a woman that hated being the center of attention, she lived in a way that touched the hearts of many. She will be sorely missed by all who know her.

The news of Kim’s passing was heartbreaking 😔 Me and my sister have such found memories of her always smiling and laughing! When we where younger we would go with our Grandma Gladys to Aunt Beulahs house in Bellflower. They would drink coffee and smoke cigarettes and all the daughters would at some point stop by to chat. I also have a picture of her visiting my Dad while in Vegas ❤️ always smiling with her big personality. She will be greatly missed RIP cousin 🙏🏼❤️

Kim (Chris and Josh) were one of my favorite foster families. I still remember all the guidance, support, and love she gave me and my son. And all the baked goods were great too! Lol.
She will always be remembered as an important Mentor in my life.
My faith believes and trusts that she is in a better place now baking her yummy desserts for a King!
I pray for peace and comfort for all of her family and friends🙏🏼

We were a big family of eleven. Kim was the youngest. She is our sister. We had our ups and downs as all families do, but through it all we loved each other. There are no words to express the deep void in our family with her passing. She was compassionate, caring, helpful and a part of all our life's. We will more than miss her and she will remain forever in our memories.
