Obituary

In Loving Memory … Linda Ann (Tomal) Morel

Sunrise: November 6, 1943

Sunset: March 10, 2020

Linda Ann Morel was a beloved sister, aunt and extended family member and our family will miss her. Linda was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and went to elementary and high school in Chicago Illinois. She then moved to California and attended California State University, Hayward where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Linda had an affinity for language acquisition. She also received a certification in cyto-technology and worked for many years as a medical professional where she looked for cancer and cell abnormalities in a hospital laboratory. Linda later moved to Nevada where she made her home for 10 years and then came to reside in Wildomar, California for the last year of her life. Linda died of metastatic breast cancer and lived many months beyond her prognosis. Despite her physical changes and progressive limitations, Linda maintained a very positive attitude and she brought joy and her spiritual philosophy of life to everyone. Linda was able to see the good in people and made everyone feel special. She is survived by her sister, Marsha Mathews and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Gabriel of Wildomar, her niece Merissa Mathews and her spouse, Jacqueline Maloof of Wildomar, and her brother Gerald Tomal of Escondido. She will be joining her parents, Mary and Theordore Tomal, and her sister Judith Tomal in the afterlife.

Linda was my friend. We meet at Dahn Yoga and shared several years of good conversation about our experience with the training. Linda was a Master and traveled to New Zealand for special training. We went to lunch often and talked for hours. She knew she had serious health issues, but never complained. The last few times we had our visits at her little comfortable room in Las Vegas. She told me how great it was to be reconnect with her sister and to go to her nieces wedding. Linda was so excited about a dress her sister purchased for her to wear to the wedding. She loved them both so much. She also talked about her brother-in-law (who she had known since she was young). She was happy her brother was in their life too. I will miss my special and unique friend. Rest in pease Linda Donim! (Donim means student in Korean yoga). Mary Klaholz - Las Vegas, NV
