Shirley moved to California with her parents, Riley and Dora, and her 4 siblings. At 15 she married her first husband Hershal Reeves and had there 4 children. They were married for a short while. After which she meet and married her second husband Thomas Gerald Parker Sr. and had a child together. Between them, they had a total of 7 children. And every weekday around 11 in the morning, you could count on her to be at the T.V. watching her soaps. Some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, would sit with her and watch an episode or two.
