Obituary

Theodore "Ted" Alva

1965 - 2020

Theodore (Ted) Alva, 55, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 25th 2020. A loss that is being mourned all around the world and a life celebrated from family & friends near and far.

Ted was born on March 30, 1965 to Martin & Wilma (Alarcon) Alva in Los Angeles, California. He was one of six boys with one older brother and a role model to four younger brothers. He grew up in Southern California (El Sereno and Whittier) where he created life-long friendships and bonds. He eventually called Mira Loma his home where he raised a family of his own and lived his best life as possible. His passions included cars and motorcycles, raising chickens, roosters, his dogs, as just recently turkeys, gardening. He made a name for himself when he was cast on Sons of Anarchy. He was very well known for his friendships with the biker community.

Along with his accomplishments and passions, his love was always with his family. A devoted father of three sons and two daughters, he worked hard and did the best he could to see that they were all provided for. He loved spending time with his family and sharing the things he loved like fishing, boating, cooking, and traveling.

Ted especially loved being a grandfather as well. His pride and joy were his two granddaughters and four grandsons. He was their "Chipa" and he loved them all more than life itself. When he was with them, he smiled from ear to ear and that's what he lived for everyday. What made him happy most in life was the love he had for his family.

A loving devoted father survived by his three sons, Raymond Alva, Ted Jr. Alva, and Brandon Alva; two daughters, Teddi Alva Parker, and Theamar Alva. A proud Grandpa "Chipa" survived by his six grandchildren, Stephanie, Talaus, Steven, Ted Derek Jr., Seven, and Arlet. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Lily Alva, and two son-in-laws, Steven Parker, and Gregory Massey; three nephews, Abraham Alva, Thomas Alva, and Darren Alva; sister-in-law Tamara Alva; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Ted is also survived by his brothers, Marty Alva, Jimmy Alva, Rene Alva, Jeffrey Alva, and Patrick Alva; as well as the Matriarch of the family his mother and mentor, Wilma (Alarcon) Alva.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Alva Jr, as well as both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
